Connectors serve as the essential bridges linking your organization's data, communication tools, and workflows to SiftHub. Instead of manual uploads, Connectors allow SiftHub to securely "read" and "understand" your information in real-time, powering unified search across platforms and ensuring AI responses are based on the most up-to-date content.
Depending on the tool, connections can be set up via a DIY (Do-It-Yourself) flow directly in the UI, while others may require a Guided Setup from the SiftHub team. Please consult the individual connector guides for specific activation details.
1. Admin Apps
Admin Apps connect your company’s major data repositories at the account level to build a centralized knowledge base.
Permissions: Requires a System Admin (e.g., IT, Google, or Microsoft Admin) to authorize the connection for the entire organization.
Purpose: To index large volumes of data from platforms like Google Drive, Slack, Notion, Zendesk, and Websites to power company-wide search and workflows.
-
Available Actions:
Connect: Initiate a new repository link.
Manual Sync: While SiftHub automatically syncs content and permissions every 30 minutes, you can use the Refresh icon (circular arrow) to force an immediate update.
Manage: Use this to select specific files, folders, or channels to include in or remove from the connection.
Disconnect: Permanently remove the repository bridge.
2. My Apps
These are individual-level connections that empower users to bring their personal workspace data into the AI's context for personalized insights.
Permissions: No System Admin intervention required. Individual users authorize these apps using their own credentials.
Purpose: Enables personalized workflows, such as using Google Calendar to help prepare for upcoming meetings or summarize daily agendas, while keeping that data private to the user.
-
Available Actions:
Connect/Disconnect: Users can link or remove their personal accounts at any time.
Manual Sync: Use the Refresh icon to instantly update SiftHub with your latest personal app data.
Reminder Bell: Within this section, Admins can click the Bell Icon to send automated email reminders to users who have not yet connected their individual accounts to a specific app.
3. Bots
Bots reside directly within your team's daily communication and CRM tools to provide instant access to verified knowledge right where they work.
Permissions: Setup typically requires a one-time admin intervention to install the bot into the workspace.
Purpose: To allow teams to get responses or create projects from where they work. For example, to @mention SiftHub in Slack, Microsoft Teams, or Google Chat to get answers or trigger automated project workflows from directly within Salesforce.
-
Available Actions:
Activate/Deactivate: Admins can turn bot functionality on or off for the entire organization.
Learn More: Bots include a "Learn now" link to access specific documentation for that platform's integration.
