While the information available in your organization’s connected knowledge sources might serve as a good starting point for teams to formulate externally shareable responses, there are always customizations and edits needed to cater the response to a particular client, geography, product suite, industry vertical or other factors.
SiftHub lets you configure basic Settings for your generated answers, or define powerful free-text instruction prompts that are incorporated into crafting a highly personalized answer targeting the specific requirements of the recipients.
Note: SiftHub supports providing instruction prompts to define the formatting, content structure and response language in 50+ languages in addition to those supported out-of-the-box.
How to use Instruction Prompts
- In the Answer tab under the Copilot section of the Browser Extension, when generating an answer to a question, type in your instruction prompt in the instructions box (below the question input box) for the required response. You can enter upto 1000 characters.
- Prompts can be formatting requirements such as:
- restricting response length to a max character limit
- framing answer in bulleted points or as an email
- Prompts can also contain specific references or content to include in the response such as:
- including links to certain policies
- including content from a related topic
- emphasizing a specific part of the response
Examples of Instruction Prompts:

For responding to customer emails
- Generate the answer in the form of an email to John
- Create an email of the answer which includes an intro line, a paragraph on each feature and a concluding statement

- Highlight the painpoints of each attendee in the discovery call with Acme
- Give me the top features to highlight based on the pain point mentioned
