SiftHub's Notion Connector seamlessly integrates your selected Notion pages, along with their metadata, attachments, and subpages, into the SiftHub Platform. This powerful connection allows you to search and get AI-generated answers directly from your team's collaborative knowledge base, enabling you to unlock insights and streamline your workflows. Furthermore, users will be able to effortlessly add or remove pages from the integration at any point, ensuring you always have precise control over the content powering your intelligent search and response generation.
What Gets Connected
SiftHub lets you selectively connect:
- Entire Workspace
- Specific teamspaces
- Individual pages
All child pages of connected pages, that you have full access to, get connected automatically. If you don’t have access to a child page, it will not be connected, even if you have connected its parent page.
This way, SiftHub only reads and indexes the content from pages you explicitly allow it to access.

Notion Connector Setup
To enable this Connector, you will need to create an Integration within your Notion workspace, enable specific capabilities, and then activate the connector within the SiftHub Web App. Finally, you will connect the specific Notion pages you wish to index.
Time to complete: Approximately 10 minutes.
Connection Requirements: Ensure you have the following access and permissions before you begin the setup, or contact the respective administrator for the same.
- Notion Workspace Owner access: To access the Integrations tab in Notion and create the Integration.
- SiftHub Admin or Account Owner role: To activate the Connector from the SiftHub Web App > Connectors > Apps page.
The process for setting up a Notion Integration includes the following main steps:
Step 1: Create Integration Token
Step 2: Enable Required Capabilities for the Integration
Step 3: Activate Notion Connector in SiftHub Platform
Step 4: Connect Specific Pages to SiftHub
Step 1: Create Integration Token
An Integration Token is required to set up and manage access to pages and databases in a particular Workspace/Teamspace. This token forms the basis for creating and enabling the Notion integration.
Important: Notion Workspace Owner access is required to create an Integration and its corresponding token.
Steps to create an Integration token are as follows:
- If the Notion Workspace Owner is not logged in, they will be required to log in using your organization’s Notion account.
- Open the URL for Notion Integrations.
-
Click the + New integration button.
- In the Name field, enter SiftHub Connector.

On clicking Configure integration settings, you will be redirected to the Configuration tab. Proceed to Step 2.
Step 2. Enable required Capabilities for the Integration

To enable Notion API access, follow the steps below:

Open the URL for Notion Integrations.
- Click on the created SiftHub Connector integration.
-
Under the Capabilities tab (which should be the default view after creation), select the following:

Finally, copy the Internal Integration Secret for use in the next step.
Note: To connect multiple Notion Workspaces to SiftHub, reach out to your SiftHub Customer Success Manager for custom setup instructions.

Step 4. Connect specific Pages to SiftHub
Once the above steps are complete, you will have to add the ‘SiftHub Connector’ app to all the Pages that you want SiftHub Platform to read, or to the Workspace / Teamspace entirely. These connections can be added, removed or modified at any time in the future using the steps below.
Note:
- The integration (SiftHub Connector) has been added to the Workspace, so any member can share pages and databases with it. There’s no requirement to be an Admin for the same
- However, on Enterprise plans, the ability to add Connections can be restricted to Workspace Owners
4.1. Add Connection
- Navigate to a page, teamspace or workspace home and select the Kebab menu (•••) at the top right.
- At the bottom of the pop-out, click Connect to.
- In the resulting pop-out, search for and select the connection you would like to add to this page. You'll only see connections that have been created for and associated with this workspace.
- The connection will now appear in the Kebab menu (•••) for the page.
Note: When you connect a page, all its child pages that you have full access to, will be automatically connected to SiftHub. Pages that you have none/ view access to, will not be connected.
4.2. Remove Connection
- Navigate to a page and select the Kebab menu (•••) at the top right.
- At the bottom of the pop-up, If you want to remove a connection from a page, hover over its name and then press Disconnect.
