SiftHub now connects with your entire Highspot library – including playbooks, battlecards, and all your assets – transforming it into a dynamic knowledge source. SiftHub's Highspot Connector seamlessly integrates this content, allowing you to search and get AI-generated answers directly from your sales and marketing collateral through the SiftHub Platform. This empowers AI Teammate conversations and smart content creation, ensuring your team can quickly find and leverage the most relevant and up-to-date content. You can keep battlecards fresh with the latest updates, and quickly surface relevant deal examples and win-loss insights to make your pitch more compelling, all powered by AI.
What Gets Connected
SiftHub ensures you maintain complete control over what Highspot content gets indexed. You can selectively connect:
- Entire Spot: Index all items within a specific Highspot "Spot."
- Multiple Spots: Choose to connect content from various Spots across your Highspot environment.
This way, SiftHub only reads and indexes the content you explicitly allow it to access.
Supported Content
SiftHub indexes the following content from your connected Highspot Spots and Lists:
- Presentations: Microsoft PowerPoint documents (.ppt, .pptx), Google Slides.
- Documents: Microsoft Word documents (.doc, .docx), Google Docs, PDF files (.pdf), Text files (.txt), CSV files (.csv).
- Spreadsheets: Microsoft Excel spreadsheets (.xls, .xlsx), Google Sheets.
Note: Files under 1 GB in size will be indexed.
How It Works
Once connected, SiftHub:
- Indexes the content of your selected Highspot items.
- Syncs content updates regularly (typically within 30 minutes) to capture any changes, ensuring SiftHub always has the latest information.
- Maintains all native Highspot permissions, so users only see content they have access to.

Makes the content searchable and available for AI-generated answers within the SiftHub Platform.
Access Control
SiftHub strictly respects Highspot's native permissions:
- Users will only see search results and answers from Highspot content that they have access to within Highspot.
- Permissions automatically update with changes made in Highspot.

If a user loses access to content in Highspot, they will no longer see it in SiftHub.
Using Highspot Content in SiftHub
Your connected Highspot content appears in:
- Search results with relevant snippets and metadata.
- AI-generated Answers and document Autofill as verified sources.

Dynamic battlecard creation and craft targeted narratives for solutions, demos, objection handling, discovery calls and more with AI Teammate.
Content Updates
New or modified content from Highspot appears in SiftHub within 30 minutes.
Updates include:
- New items added to connected Spots.
- Content changes within existing items.
- Permission changes on items.

Deletions or archiving of items in Highspot, which are automatically removed from SiftHub results.
Highspot Connector Setup
To enable this Connector, you will need to add a dedicated user in Highspot for API access and generate an API Key and Secret. These credentials, along with details of the content you wish to connect, will then be provided to your SiftHub Customer Success Manager for activation.
Time to complete: Approximately 5 minutes for user steps, with activation by SiftHub CSM within 24 hours.
Connection Requirements: Ensure you have the following access and permissions before you begin the setup, or contact the respective administrator for the same.
- Highspot administrator access: To add users for API access and manage settings.
- Subscription to Highspot’s Platform+ package: To enable API integrations.
The process for setting up the Highspot connector includes the following main steps:
- Add a Developer User for API Access
- Generate API Key and Secret
- Request Service Account Marking

Activate Highspot Connector
Step 1. Add a Developer User for API Access
You need to add a dedicated developer user in Highspot that SiftHub will use for API access.
- Sign in to Highspot with administrator access.
- Navigate to Company Settings > Access & Privacy > API Access.
- Click Add Users to add a new developer to the API Access list.

In the Email Address dropdown, select or enter the email address for the user you intend to use for API access (e.g., a service account email).

Click Save to add the developer to the API Access list.
- Note: If you add a developer who already has API access, their entry in the table will be updated with the new date, but their existing Key and Secret will stay the same.

You can validate if the user was added by searching for the developer's name in the API Access table.

Step 2. Generate API Key and Secret
Once the developer user has been added to API Access, that user can generate their unique API Key and Secret.
- Log in to Highspot as the newly added developer user.
- Click on your profile icon in the top right corner.

Go to Settings.

In the left panel, navigate to the Developer section and click on Basics.

Click on Generate API Key & Secret.
- Securely copy both the generated API Key and Secret.
- Share this API Key and Secret securely with your SiftHub Customer Success Manager.
Step 3. Request Service Account Marking
To ensure uninterrupted service and proper license management, it is crucial to have the API user account marked as a Service Account by Highspot Support.
- Once the developer user has access to the Developer tab (after generating the Key and Secret), contact Highspot Support with the developer's account email.
- Request that this specific email address be marked as a Service Account.
Marking an account as a Service Account ensures:
- Exemption from password expiration policies, preventing API connection disruptions.
- Exclusion from the customer’s license consumption count.

Step 4. Activate Highspot Connector
After generating your API Key and Secret and requesting the Service Account marking, you will provide the necessary details to your SiftHub Customer Success Manager to activate the connector and configure which Highspot content is connected.
What you can connect:
SiftHub offers flexibility for connecting items from multiple Spots and Lists. Choose one of the following options and provide the required information to your SiftHub Customer Success Manager:

Option 1: Connect All Items of a Spot
- Provide the link to the ‘Spot’ homepage, e.g., https://<your subdomain>.highspot.com/spots/<spotId>.

Option 2: Connect Items of multiple Spots
- Provide the links to the ‘Spots’ homepages, e.g., https://<your subdomain>.highspot.com/spots/<spotId1>.
Time to activation:
After providing the required details to your SiftHub Customer Success Manager, your connector will be active in approximately 24 hours.
