SiftHub's DevRev Connector integrates your DevRev Help Center content into SiftHub, allowing you to search and get AI-generated answers from your support articles directly through the SiftHub Platform.

What Gets Connected

SiftHub lets you:

• Connect collections within your DevRev account
• Select specific collections or articles to include 
• Access external published articles only (draft articles are not indexed)
• All child articles of a connected collection will be automatically connected

Supported Content

SiftHub reads and indexes the following content from connected published articles:

• Article text and attachments
• Article metadata (creation date, modification date, authors, collection, tags, part)

How It Works

Once connected, SiftHub:

• Indexes content from selected collections
• Updates content once every 24 hours
• Makes the content searchable and available for AI-generated answers

Access Control

Article permissions are not enforced within SiftHub — all connected articles are accessible to all users in your SiftHub account.

Using DevRev Content in SiftHub

Your connected DevRev content appears in:

• Search results with relevant snippets and metadata
• AI-generated Answers and document Autofill as verified sources
• Conversations and Narratives with AI Teammate

DevRev Connector Setup

Permissions Required

Ensure you have the following access and permissions before you begin the setup, or contact the respective administrator for the same.

• DevRev Administrator access: To create a Personal Access Token in the DevRev portal.
• SiftHub Admin or Account Owner role: To activate the Connector from the SiftHub Web App > Connectors > Apps page.
• Article Access: DevRev articles are accessible to all users within your SiftHub client account. No additional article-level permissions are required.

Note: DevRev Administrator access will be required to set up the DevRev Connector for SiftHub. If you're not the administrator, please contact your DevRev administrator to follow the next steps.

The process for setting up the DevRev Connector includes the following main steps:

• Step 1: Create DevRev Personal Access Token
• Step 2: Share DevRev collection names, article URLs, and base URL

Step 1: Create Personal Access Token

A DevRev Personal Access Token is required to set up and manage DevRev APIs. This token allows SiftHub to read articles from your DevRev instance.

1. Go to your DevRev homepage. Copy and save the homepage URL for Step 2.
2. Click on the Settings gear icon in the top left corner of the screen.
   
3. On the left panel, under Account click on Personal access token -> New token
   
    
4. Enter the name as SiftHub PAT and select an expiry 5 years from now
   
    
5. Copy the token and share it with your SiftHub Customer Success Manager
   
    

Step 2: Activate the Connector

SiftHub can index either all externally published articles in your DevRev instance, or only articles within specific collections.

Please share the following with your SiftHub Customer Success Manager:

• The homepage URL copied from your DevRev homepage in Step 1

Additionally, if you want SiftHub to index only specific collections or articles, please also provide:

• The collection names you wish to connect
• The article URLs for any specific articles to be indexed

If no specific collections or articles are provided, SiftHub will index all externally published articles in your DevRev instance by default.

Note: All child articles of a connected collection will be automatically connected. Article permissions are not enforced — connected articles are accessible to all account users. Content updates sync once every day.
