Your Zoom meetings are packed with crucial customer insights, key decisions, and product feedback. The SiftHub Zoom Connector securely unlocks this knowledge by ingesting your cloud meeting recordings and transcripts, making them instantly searchable and available to our AI. This integration transforms your team's conversations into an accessible knowledge base, ensuring valuable insights are never lost and can be used to generate accurate, context-aware answers.
What Gets Connected
SiftHub allows you to selectively connect Zoom cloud meeting recordings. This ensures SiftHub only indexes the conversational content from meetings you explicitly authorize.
You can choose to connect:
- All Meetings: Index all available cloud recordings and transcripts in your Zoom account.
- Meetings of specific users: Connect all meetings where designated users were a 'Host' or 'Invitee'.
Supported Content
SiftHub indexes the following content from your connected Zoom meetings:
- Call Transcripts: Complete, AI-generated plain text versions of the audio from your Zoom cloud recordings.
Access Control
SiftHub respects the access control settings you choose for your Zoom content, ensuring users only see what they're permitted to.
- Open Access: All SiftHub users in your organization can view and access cloud meeting recordings and transcripts from all connected Zoom users.
- Participant Access: Users can only access meeting transcripts for calls they participated in (as a Host or Invitee), maintaining privacy and limiting access to relevant conversations.
Using Zoom Content in SiftHub
Once connected, your Zoom content seamlessly appears in your SiftHub workspace:
- In search results with relevant snippets and metadata.
- As verifiable sources for AI-generated Answers and document Autofill.
- Within AI Teammate for comprehensive call analysis, dynamic battlecard creation, and crafting targeted narratives for objection handling, discovery call prep, and more.
Content Updates
New or modified content from Zoom appears in SiftHub within an hour. Updates include:
- New cloud recordings
- Deletions
Deleted or archived content is automatically removed from SiftHub results.
Zoom Connector Setup
To enable this Connector, you will need to generate client Id, Account Id and Client Secret within the Zoom App Marketplace and share specific details with your SiftHub Customer Success Manager.
Time to complete: Approximately 2 minutes for user steps, with activation by SiftHub CSM within 24 hours.
Connection Requirements: Ensure you have the following access and permissions before you begin the setup, or contact the respective administrator for the same.
- A paid Zoom plan (for example, Pro or Enterprise) with cloud recordings is required. Free plans are not supported.
- Cloud recording must be enabled in Zoom.
- The user performing the setup must have an Admin or Owner role in Zoom to create the integration’s access tokens.
- Read-only access with the following scopes: Repository permissions, Recording files, Organization permissions, and Users.
The process for setting up the Zoom connector includes the following main steps:
- Building an app in Zoom App Marketplace, and generating Client Id, Account Id and Client Secret.
- Activating the Zoom Connector.
Step 1. Build App and generate client_id, account_id and client_secret
Follow these steps in order to build app and generate client_id, account_id and client_secret:
- Sign in to Zoom App Marketplace through a user with Zoom Admin or Owner role.
- In the Zoom App Marketplace, navigate to the top left corner: Develop -> Build app.
- After Clicking on Build app, Select Server to Server OAuth App and then click create.
- Type your app name and click Create.
- In App Credentials, copy Account ID, Client ID and Client Secret. Click on Continue.
- In the Information section, Add your Basic Information and Developer Contact Information. Click on Continue.
- In Scopes, add the Read-only access with the following scopes: Repository permissions, Recording files, Organization permissions, and Users.
- Finally navigate to the Activation section - click on Activate your app.
Step 2. Activating the Zoom Connector
After generating your Client Id, Account Id and Client Secret, go to the Connectors > Admin apps section in the SiftHub webapp.
Click "Connect" on the Zoom connector card and enter your integration details in the popup shown.
SiftHub validates your entered credentials for a successful connection establishment before configuring the ingestion and visibility settings for Zoom calls.
Once you enter valid credentials and click "Continue", choose the user(s) whose Zoom calls are synced into SiftHub. You can select one of:
- All users: This connects Zoom call recordings for all SiftHub platform users in your account that also have a Pro, Business or Enterprise user on your organization's Zoom.
- Specified user(s): You can select multiple users from among a list of SiftHub platform users in your account and connect only their Zoom call recordings.
You can also configure access to call data with the "Allow access for non-participants" checkbox.
- If left unselected, all Zoom calls ingested are only accessible for generating SiftHub responses to the host or participant(s) of that meeting with a SiftHub platform user in your account.
- If selected, all Zoom calls ingested are available to generate responses for all SiftHub platform users in your account.
If you are experiencing issues with the connector or its setup, contact your SiftHub Customer Success Manager or reach out to support@sifthub.io.
