SiftHub's GitBook Connector seamlessly integrates your selected GitBook Sites and Spaces, along with their pages, rich content, and metadata, into the SiftHub Platform. This powerful connection allows you to search and get AI-generated answers directly from your team's organized documentation, enabling you to unlock insights and streamline your workflows. Furthermore, you can effortlessly add or remove Sites or Spaces from the integration at any point, ensuring you always have precise control over the content powering your intelligent search and response generation.
What Gets Connected
SiftHub ensures you maintain complete control over what content gets indexed. You can selectively connect:
- All Sites: Index all available sites, spaces and pages in your GitBook account.
- Specific Sites: Index all spaces and pages from specific Site within your GitBook account.
- Specific Spaces: Index all pages from specific Space within your GitBook account.
Supported Content
SiftHub indexes the following content types from your connected GitBook pages:
- Page Content: Text, headings, tables, tabs, lists, quotes, code blocks, and other structural content.
Using GitBook Content in SiftHub
Your connected GitBook content appears in:
- In search results with relevant snippets and metadata.
- As verifiable sources for AI-generated Answers and document Autofill.
- Within AI Teammate for comprehensive call analysis, dynamic battlecard creation, and crafting targeted narratives for objection handling, discovery call prep, and more.
Note: Clicking any result opens the page within GitBook.
Content Updates
New or modified content appears in SiftHub within 24 hours of being saved in GitBook. Updates include:
- New Spaces, pages, and content.
- Page modifications.
- Content deletions.
Deleted content is automatically removed from SiftHub results.
GitBook Connector Setup
To enable this Connector, you will need to generate an API Key from your GitBook account and share it with your SiftHub Customer Success Manager. You will also specify which Sites or Spaces to connect.
Step 1. Obtain Your API Credentials
Follow these steps in order to obtain your API Credentials:
- Login to your GitBook account. Go to Settings on the top.
- Navigate to Developer settings. Click on Create new token.
- Add the label and click on Create. Your API key will be generated. Copy it and securely share these credentials with your SiftHub Customer Success Manager to initiate the connection

Step 2. Activate GitBook Connector
After obtaining your API credentials, you will work with your SiftHub Customer Success Manager to activate the connector and configure which GitBook content is connected.
What you can connect:
SiftHub provides the capability to connect GitBook content at various levels. Choose one of the following options and provide the required information to your SiftHub Customer Success Manager:
- Option 1: Connect all Sites

Time to activation:
Once you provide the API credentials and the requirements to your SiftHub Customer Success Manager, your GitBook connector will be activated within approximately 24 hours.
